Dr Mishra pitches for inclusion of astrology as subject in syllabus

PUBLIC Relations, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr Narottam Mishra said that astrology is a science and should be included in syllabus. Dr Mishra was addressing the International Falith Jyotish Mahakumbh 2018 at a private medical college campus on Friday. He said that there are several dimensions of Indian knowledge and culture like yoga, vastu shastra etc. Astro science and astrology has been established as a complete subject and genre. Dr Mishra said that concerned organisation should come forward for study and research of astrology and assured that State Government will give full support in this regard.

Dr Mishra added that astrology is useful in giving employment to youth. He told that Navgrah Peeth will begin soon in Dabra of Gwalior district. This Navgrah Peeth will organise Jyotish Sammelan. Dr Mishra invited representatives at the Mahakumbh to take part in Dabra Sammelan. He gave suggestion to organise Jyotish Mahakumbh once every three months so that local people also benefits from the widespread importance of the subject. Dr Mishra released the souvenir published by Intellectual Astrological Society on the occasion.

In the beginning of the Mahakumbh, Patron of the Intellectual Astrological Society, former chief secretary Rakesh Sahni and retired Director General of Police S S Lal gave information about the activities of Society. Retired Director General of Police Raman Kakkad, Chief General Manager Telecommunication Circle Madhya Pradesh Mahesh Shukla, Hemchandra Pandey, Dr Pushpa Chouhan besides other office-bearers and astro experts from various places of country were present.
