CM reviews preparations for Ambedkar Mahakumbh

A GRAND programme will be organised on the occasion of the 127th birth anniversary of Constitution Maker Baba Saheb Ambedkar on April 14 at Ambedkar Nagar in Mhow. Ambedkar Mahakumbh will be organised this year also like every year at Baba Saheb’s birthplace. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reviewed the preparations being made for the grand programme. Scheduled Caste Tribal Welfare Minister Lal Singh Arya and Chief Secretary B P Singh were present during the review meeting.

CM Chouhan said that the preparations for the event should be completed on time. Proper arrangements should be made for the devotees who are expected to take part in the event. The arrangement for welcoming the devotees in the tradition manner by social organisation at the birth place should be continued in which all communities should ensure their participation. Adequate arrangements should be made for cleanliness, lighting and medical treatment. Security arrangements should also be ensured at the programme venue.

Information about the preparation for housing, cleanliness, health and transport for the devotees was provided at the review meeting. It was informed that special trains and buses were being arranged for transporting the devotees. RO water will be made available for drinking purpose. A doctors team will be available round the clock at the venue. A large number of devotees arrive from all over the state and country in this event.

Among those present in the meeting were Additional Chief Secretary Home K K Singh, Chairman of Bhante Sanghsheel Ambedkar Memorial Society, Chief Secretary PWD Mohammed Suleiman, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister S K Mishra, Commissioner Tribal Welfare Kalpana Shrivastava, Divisional Commissioner Indore Sanjay Dubey, Collector Indore Nishant Warvade, Memorial Committee members and public representatives.
