Though Shruti Jasani, Proprietor of The Stage is a well known dance trainer who taught skills of the art of Aerial Silk to Bollywood stars like Sushmita Sen, Dipika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor and others, said that she is still a learner. While speaking at TiEcon here on Sunday, she said that learning is an on going process for her that will never end.

Shruti also said that strong desire to excel and discipline are her driving forces. “I enjoy my work from bottom of my heart and thus every day is exciting for me,” she said.
She started her training school in a small rented place in Mumbai wherein Shruti conducted the classes for here students. Later on she moved to a new place and set up her centre. Today, her group - The Wooden Stage - is training more that 10,000 students in different parts of the country.

She has also trained at the Broadway Dance Center, Perri Dance Center and The Athletic Play Ground in San Francisco. She has been affiliated to Trinity College of London since 2005, having taken professional level exams and having taught dance and drama under the same roof. She specializes in the Performance Arts syllabus offered at Trinity College of London.

In another session, Sandeep Shrivastava, a writer, shared his success stories with the TiEcon participants. He told the participants how is wrote the story of famous Hindi movie - Ab Tak Chhappan - in 2004.

“While I was writing the story of this film, I got a chance to actually witness an encounter in Mumbai. The concerned cop had called me to experience it, but did not go,” he said. Initially, he was into television but when serieal on ‘Saas Bahu’ grabbed the centre stage, he quit the small screen and started exploring opportunities in silver screen.
