After playing positive roles for several years, Harshad Arora finally got a chance to explore his darker shades. He will be seen playing a dark character in Star Bharat’s upcoming show Mayavi Maling. He will will be seen playing prince Angad who posess the power to turn anything into ice. Excerpts from interview:

Tell us something about Mayavi Maling?
Mayavi Maling is a show of three princess Pranali, Eshwarya and Garima trying to save their Kingdom, Maling. Its an original fantasy series which tells people that grit, courage and determination are the biggest weapons to fight against mightiest of the evil, which also is true to face the everyday challenges of real life and emerge as a real hero.
Tell us something about your character in the show.

I am playing Angad, the hero of Mahapuram and son of Queen Madhumalli and King Trishanku. Angad is everything a prince is expected to be - good looking, charming, heroic and brave. The story lies in the evil character that he holds beneath the sophisticated exterior. A dark power-hungry beast who will stop at nothing to get what he wants. He is smart and driven, which compliments his purpose but his temper sometimes stands in the way.

How challenging is the role?
For an actor every role is challenging but for this role I had to go extra miles. I learnt to ride a horse for the show which was really challenging. I had many falls in the process. Also, maximum scene are shot hanging on a harness making this role very demanding. All the stunts have been pulled by me without using the body double.
Tell us about your looks.

My look is very simple and elegant, yet very attractive. The designer didn’t use heavy jewelry to make sure the look compliments the era. Interestingly, I also have wings in the show which will be shown in the later episodes. The entire costume is very interesting and historic in nature, which is not usually seen in today day and age.
For more tune into Mayavi Maling, starting May 1, at 7 pm only on Star Bharat.
