Govt vowed to bring happiness in lives of labourers: CM

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, on Thursday said the Government is vowed to bring prosperity and happiness in the lives of labourers. Implementation of various welfare schemes for labourers of unorganised sector is a step towards the same.The Chief Minister was addressing a huge gathering of labourers belonging to unorganised sector during a programme in Gorabazaar on Thursday evening in Jabalpur. He said that the poor and backward people have first right on Government exchequer. He said that the Government has decided that no poor will remain land-less and home-less in the State. They would be made owner of land by providing patta. Over 1 lakh pattas would be distributed in Madhya Pradesh, stated the CM and said the poor would also be provided with financial aid for constructing house.


Having conversation with labourers, he urged them to send their wards to schools. He said the State Government would pay school fee of their children. CM said the Government is also ensuring free of cost medical treatment of labour class families. It is providing needed financial aid to pregnant women, electricity on flat Rs 200 and Rs 2 lakh on accidental death etc.He said the Government is also vowed to rid poor of poverty and to increase their income. Chouhan said no stone would be left unturned in providing due rights to poor and labourers.He said nearly 6 lakh registration have been already been done under Mukhyamantri Unorganised Labour Welfare Scheme in Jabalpur only. If anybody remains to be enrolled under the scheme, he is welcomed. He directed Collector, Chhavi Bhardwaj to constitute monitoring team and ensure provision of benefits of the scheme to beneficiaries. He said the labourers who got enrolled themselves under the scheme from April 1 to April 31 would be given benefits on June 13. On the occasion the Chief Minister also provided patta and cheques to the labourers. Amongst those also present on the occasion were MLA Ashok Rohani, BJP City President G S Thakur, Mayor-in-Council member Shriram Shukla and Corporators.
