‘Yoga helps one improve concentration to achieve self-realisation’

Thousands of Yoga Sadhaks on Saturday morning paid rich tributes to Janardan Swami by performing Sanghik Yogasana on the road from Bajiprabhu Deshpande Square to Ram Nagar area. The 40th Samaradhana Din of Janardan Swami was observed by his disciples, followers, yoga teachers and students of Janardan Swami Yogabhyasi Mandal. The participants vowed to celebrate World Yoga Day on June 21 and decided to encourage about one lakh Yogasadhaks to participate in the mega event. They also prayed for the blessings of Swamiji to make the event successful.

Mayor Nanda Jichkar was the chief guest of 40th Samaradhana Din. MLC Prakash Gajbhiye, Director of South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC) Deepak Khirwadkar and corporator Parinita Fuke were the guests of honour. Children and adolescent Yoga Sadhak of Bhonsala Ved Shala, Mahal demonstrated beautiful pyramids on this occasion.

Karywah of Yogabhyasi Mandal Rambhau Khandwe made the introductory remarks and introduced the guests. ‘Sharir Vidnyan’ the ninth edition with pictures and two postal stamps having picture of Janardan Swami were released at the hands of guests.

Mayor Jichkar spoke about the importance of Yogasan for self development. Yoga helps a person to improve his concentration for achieving self-realisation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has played very important role in popularising yoga for world peace and development, she added.

MLC Gajbhiye spoke about the importance of Yoga as preached by Bhagwan Gautam Buddha. Deepak Khirwadkar appealed the participants to attend Yoga classes in SCZCC.
After Sanghik Asans, a palanquin procession was held from the premises of Yogabhyasi Mandal. The main chariot having yoga sadhaks performing pyramids and Yogasana was the attraction of procession. The entire premises was mesmerised with the slogans and chants given by the participants. The procession passed through different areas in Ram Nagar. A religious programme of rudrabhishek to Paduka of Janardan Swami was held. Samaradhana pooja was held with religious fervour. More than 1,500 followers participated in the same. The programme concluded with distribution of Mahaprasad.
