Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) is all set to declare result of class X and XII, hence it is normal that nervousness and anxiety have taken toll on students. The fear of getting less marks is in minds of students. However, counsellors say that students should not lose hope and do not buckle down under pressure as life does not come to a screeching halt even if someone does not fare well in an examination. Counsellor Shabnam Khan says, “Do not lose confidence and have serenity. Even if students score less marks, they should not feel that everything has been finished because marks are just assessment and life has many more things to offer. Bad result cannot hinder future until we don’t allow it.”

“There are various career options for further studies even after scoring below average marks. Subject experts say that it is not important to score only high marks for gaining career height. Set your goals according to your capabilities. Even parents should not force their child or else drag them into any comparison. There are various other options to achieve the goal,” she added. Ruk Jana Nahi Scheme: Another way is “Ruk Jana Nahi” scheme for students who fail in the examination. Under this, students get four attempts to pass in the subjects in which they had failed. This scheme was launched one year ago after observing that many students attempted suicide due to poor results. There is MPBSE helpline counselling for their help 24x7.
