Mines Cleanliness Fortnight at MCP

The Mines Cleanliness Fortnight is being celebrated at Malanjkhand Copper Project, a flagship unit of the Hindustan Copper Limited from May 1 to May 15 under the aegis of Directorate General of Mines Safety, Nagpur. This fortnight, is being celebrated with an aim of keeping cleanliness in all the mines falling in this area under the Directorate General of Mines Safety, Nagpur, under the guidelines of the Ministry of Labor, Government of India.The cleanliness fortnight has been launched with an opening ceremony on May 1, 2018 in Mananjkhand Copper Mine. The Chief Guest, Dr. O.N. Tiwari, Executive Director, Mananjkhand Copper Project, inaugurated this Swachhata Pakhawada by hoisting the flag. On this occasion Govind Dubey, Sub Divisional Officer (Revenue) Baiher and Santosh Bitolia, Tehsildar, Birsa were also present as a local and government representatives.

In his address, Dubey urged all employees and officers to join this Sanitation Campaign with full dedication. In his inaugural speech, Dr. Tiwari highlighted the cleanliness work being carried out in the mines and surrounding villages by Mananjkhand Copper Project and assured to provide support at every level in this campaign. He also mentioned about the work carried out by MCP at Basinkhar village to make it ODF Village. At the end of the inauguration ceremony, all the guests and employees engaged in cleaning the office premises of the Mine office and also decided to continue it in other areas.On this occasion, Nagesh Shenoy D.G.M. (Mines), S K Daglia, Chief Security Officer, Ravindra Gattuwar AGM (Mines) & Mines Manager, P.D. Bohra AGM (Mines), Departmental Heads and other officials, workers were present including Union representatives. The programme was conducted by P. K. Pandey.
