Minister Shejwar inspects development and construction works in East Assembly area

State Forest and Statistics Minister Dr Gaurishankar Shejwar, on the 3rd day of Vikas Yatra, on Sunday inspected on-going development and construction works in East Assembly area.He started inspection by examining the road being constructed with an estimated amount of Rs 2.93 crore near Dhani Ki Kutia. Later, he inspected under construction road from adarsha crossing to Sanshkar Colony at Jaiprakash Nagar under Maharshi Mahesh Yogi ward.The State Minister also inspected overhead tank being constructed by the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation with a cost of Rs 1.61 crore at Pushp Nagar. He also inspected under construction of overhead tank at Milk Scheme in Adhartal and Thakkargram.
On the occasion, he sought information about capacity of the tanks and the number of people, who would get benefit from the tanks. He also directed concerned officials to ensure completion of the tanks early. Mayor Dr Swati Godbole informed the State Minister that the JMC is constructing the overheads under AMRUT Yojana to provide ample water to residents of concerned areas. Thereafter, Minister Incharge of District Dr Shejwar also inspected asphaltation work being done from Tehsil Chowk to Ghamapur Chowk and road widening work from Mal Godown Chowk to Railway Station with a cost of Rs 69.59 lakh.


Afterward, the State Minister visited Lema Garden and held discussion with beneficiaries, who have been provided houses in multi-story building. The JMC has built the multi-story residential building with a cost of Rs 22 crore for poor families.Dr Shejwar also visited Readymade Garment Complex and sought detailed information about facilities being provided to Garment Manufacturing Units.He also visited Seth Govinddas Dharmashala and inspected operation of Deendayal Rasoi. It may be noted that the Municipal Corporation with due support of a voluntary organisation is operating the kitchen and providing good meal to people in just Rs 5. Dr Shejwar also had meal at the rasoi and praised the quality of food and also extended gratitude to the JMC for running it uninterruptedly.Amongst those also present on the occasion were MLA, Anchal Sonkar, BJP City President G S Thakur, Assistant Collector Chhote Singh and others.
