Musical ‘Ashi Aste Aai’ regales music buffs

MUSICAL ‘Ashi Aste Aai’ organised under the aegis of Nagpur Municipal Corporation and Tamanna Events and Entertainment, to celebrate International Mother’s Day, turned out to be a thoroughly enjoyable event with celebrities like Padmavat fame Farhan Sabri, Rising Star finalist Zaid Ali causing adrenalin rush amongst young crowd with their extraordinary talent show, at the Kavivarya Bhat Hall on Sunday.
Also important was the felicitation of mothers who have strived to make their child a successful and make a name for themselves in the field of their choice.

The programme had 23 songs listed for presentation in which ‘Voice of India’ fame Shrushti Barlewar, her mother set the tone with their rendition. Shrushti sang ‘Lori suna firse’, while her mother rendered ‘Nimbonichya jhada khali chandra jhopla ga bai’. Shrushti then went on to present ‘Mujhe sab hai pata meri ma’. Shreya Kharabe, city-based artist then rendered ‘Mai Bhavani’ and ‘Pass bulati hai’. Farhan Sabri then stormed the stage with his high pitched full throated rendition of ‘Jab chahe mujhe kahi lag jaye’, ‘Jag ghumeya’ and other hits. There were some other melodious songs such as ‘Meri maa’ ‘Yaariyan’, duets of Farhan and Shrushti in ‘Luka chhupi’, Farhan’s ‘Aye maa salaam’. Child artist Zaid Ali showed his class with the rendition of ‘Maa teri chhunariyan’, ‘Ma tuze salaam’.

Shreya’s rendition of ‘Aai sarkhi daivat’ and ‘Aai Bhawani’ (Gondhal) were good. Nityanand Tiwari, filled in gaps with interesting chatter and games played with the audience.
Earlier, Mayor Nanda Jichkar addressed the gathering, in the capacity of chief guest and praised the organisers in arranging the event which was of a different kind. She also spoke at length on the importance of mother.

Also present on the stage with Mayor Nanda Jichkar were Deputy Mayor Deepraj Pardikar, Promod Tabhane, Nagesh Sahare Chairman Cultural Committee NMC. Mothers who were feted on the occasion, were Chaya Meshram, mother of cricket player Mona Meshram, Anjali Bhale, mother of badminton player Vaishnavi Bhale, Kalpana Tabhane mother of Nikhilesh Tabhane international skating champion, Sulochana Raut, mother of track event specialist Monika Raut, Godavari Zade, Rekha Shelare, Aruna Gorkhede, Vandana Aturkar, Mrunmaye Ghaanote, Archana Pardhi, Anupama Rambhad.

Asif Khan of Tamanna Events, regaled the gathering with tales that revealed the of a mother. Nandu Gohne and his team did a wonderful job in providing superb musical accompaniment. Shyamal Deshmukh conducted the programme and also present on the occasion were Pintu Zalke, Sangeeta Gire, Rupali Thakur, Reeta Mule, Divya Ghurde, Mangala Khekre, Neha Waghmare, Veeranka Bhivgade, Patil, Sheetal Kamdi, Sandhya Medpalliwar, Ashok Kolhatkar and Naresh Chaudhary.
