Heat wave likely in some parts of Madhya Pradesh

Intense heat is making people to sweat in Madhya Pradesh. Bright day and hot winds are giving torrid time to people. Weather department has forecasted that heat wave will sweep some parts of Khargone, Sheopurkalan, Rajgarh, Shajapur, Chhattarpur and Hoshangabad districts. Meanwhile, there is likelihood of light showers and lighting in sundry parts of Hoshangabad, Rewa, Shahdol, Chambal divisions and districts namely Balaghat, Mandla, Chindwada, Seoni, Indore, Dhar, Khargone, Burhanpur, Raisen, Guna, Ashok Nagar, Ujjain, Ratlam, Neemuch and Mandsaur. Weather is going to remain same till May 18.

This means that tormenting heat will give nightmares to people in state. In last twenty four hours, light rains were recorded in some parts of Jabalpur and Shahdol divisions. The rest places of state remained dry. Khargone reeled under the heat wave. Notably, this year, Khargone has got the dubious distinction of remaining hottest place of state for days.
The temperature in Khargone had reached till 46 degrees Celsius this time. Henceforth, intensity of heat could be imagined in Khargone.

On Tuesday, Bhopal recorded maximum temperature at 41.3 degrees Celsius and it was at normal mark. Khajuraho sizzled at maximum temperature of 42.7 degrees Celsius, Jabalpur 41.8 degrees Celsius, Sagar 41.2 degrees, Damoh 43.5 degrees Celsius, Raisen 42.2 degrees Celsius, Naugaon 43 degrees Celsius, Hoshangabad 43.2 degrees Celsius, Betul 41 degrees Celsius, Gwalior 41.4 degrees Celsius, Rewa 41 degrees Celsius, Sidhi 40.6 degrees Celsius, Guna 42.6 degrees Celsius, Shajapur 43 degrees Celsius, Rajgarh 43.2 degrees Celsius, Umaria 41.2 degrees Celsius, Mandla 42.2 degrees Celsius, Ratlam 42 degrees Celsius etc. As hot winds rules the day hence markets are witnessing deserted like look as everyone tries to avoid shopping during day time. Moreover, main roads which used to remain congested due to heavy traffic wearing deserted like look during day time. No one wants to face the burning sun during day time and prefer to remain indoors as much as possible.
