Collector discusses preparations for Tourism Job Fair in meeting

Collector Chhavi Bhardwaj conduced a meeting of officers of concerned department for preparation of Tourism Job Fair to be conducted on May 24, 2018. The officers were instructed to discharge the duties assigned to them promptly to make the programme successful. She said that out of the total applicants coming in job fair, fifty percent would be from Jabalpur. The Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC), Jila Pachayat, Employment Exchange, education department, Food and Craft Institute along with other departments applicants targets for participation in job fair were determined. She said that at efforts should be made to ensure that least three thousand applicants would participate in job fair so that at least about two thousand five hundred youth willing to get employment would participate in programme. She asked to focus on trained youth and those skilled in the field of tourism and hospitality.


During the meeting, she also gave instructions in connection with arrangements to be mad during employment fair. She asked the officers to take necessary steps regarding the registration, parking arrangement, potable water and food and IT Room. She also instructed the officers to ensure availability of computers, fax and internet connections at fair spot. The Food department was asked to install the stall for participants for payment based food supply system to Food department. Chhavi Bhardwaj also instructed to make arrangement for generator for entire system so that, no problem would be faced in the power supply is disrupted.


The Collector also instructed to install he counters for the process of registration and to impart training to forty people who would complete the process of registration. The District Education Officer was instructed to ensure that twenty rooms of Government Pundit Lajja Shankar Jha Model Higher Secondary School would be reserved for Job Fair. The Collector Chhavi Bhardwaj also gave necessary instructions for making arrangement for establishing help desk and also for making parking places. The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board's planning, Skill and training director Manoj Kumar Singh also gave important suggestions. The officers of different department were also present on the occasion.
