PHE top officials review water situation

Principal Secretary, PHE Pramod Aggarwal and Principal Engineer K K Songaria visited many rural areas of Sagar district to take stock of the drinking water situation. They interacted with villagers and inquired from villagers about water supply.They visited village Silapari, Satnai of Khurai block and paid surprise visit to Nal Jal Yojna of these villages. After visiting Silapari and Satnai villages, they directed Executive Engineer M C Ahirwar for drilling of tubewell in one colony of village Satnai within two days to ensure supply of drinking water.The Principal Secretary then visited village Dhawri of Maulthaun and Mandri Nal Jal Yojna. Then he directed for drilling of handpump at main village at village Dhawri and at Patparai Tola.

The Principal Secretary and Chief Engineer visited Patparia Tola by bike as this village had no approach road. Then they visited Khurai and found all Nal Jal Yojnas in working condition and directed department to ensure that all homes should have tap connection. The Principal Secretary held discussion with Collector Alok Singh on drinking water supply status. Then he chaired meeting of Assistant Engineers and inquired from them about status of water supply in each sub block. Then he directed Assistant Engineers and Executive Engineers to collect information of all majra tola where handpumps have dried so that in such areas , new handpump can be drilled and water supply can be made available.The Principal Engineer directed departmental officers to visit three days in rural areas and monitor drinking water situation and inform senior officers about it. Under any conduction, water crisis should not arise and department should take speedy action.
