PWD Minister lays foundation stone of four-sided road at Thakkar Bapa Ward

PWD Minister Rajesh Munat laid foundation stone for the four-sided road being constructed at a cost of Rs 4.76 crore at Thakkar Bapa ward in the capital. The road once constructed will provide better transportation facilities for people living in Geetanjali Nagar, Dikshanagar, Tulsinagar, Murabhattipara, Gulabnagar, Premnagar, Satnamipara, Sahupara, and other adjacent areas. Under the project, 12 km long roads will be converted into CC roads and asphalt roads.

The PWD Minister also announced construction of a garden in Geetanjali nagar on the demand of people. Addressing the august gathering Munat said all necessary initiative is being taken to develop Raipur as a beautiful capital and accordingly emphasis is being given for the development of all lanes and alleys. Alongside infrastructure development in the capital, basic amenities like power connectivity, water, road and sanitation work are being carried out. Pipeline extension work is underway at a cost of Rs 4 crore in the said ward to enhance water supply. He said an amount of Rs 42 lakh has been sanctioned for potable water supply in Thakkar Bapa and Veer Shivaji wards. Also an amount of Rs 1.49 crore has been sanctioned for construction of drainage, cc road, garden and maintenance of ponds, etc. Present on the occasion were Praful Vishwakarma, Goverdhan Khandelwal, Panchu Bharti, Neeta Agrawal, etc.
