Rahul Gandhi to participate in Jan Swaraj Sammelan in Raipur today

Rahul Gandhi, President of the All India Congress Committee will be on a two days visit to Chhattisgarh from Thursday.
Congress State Spokesman Dhananjay Singh Thakur informed that Rahul Gandhi would reach Raipur by a regular flight at 10 am and would take a chopper to reach Balbir Singh Juneja Outdoor Sports Stadium Helipad by 10.20 am.
The AICC President will participate in Jan Swaraj Sammelan organised by Rajiv Gandhi Panchayati Raj Sangathan at Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium in Raipur. The office-bearers of the Panchayati Raj Sangathan from four states namely Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Jharkhand would participate in the Sammelan. After attending the programme, Rahul Gandhi would leave Raipur for Sitapur in Surguja district where he would participate in Kisan Adivasi Rally at Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium. Later, he would participate in Jungle Satyagraha Adivasi Rally at Government Higher Secondary School Ground Kotmi Kala, Pendra in Bilaspur district. He would take night shelter at Bilaspur on Thursday. On May 18, the AICC President would interact with booth level workers of Bilaspur division at Bilaspur. Later he would reach Durg by a chopper where he would interact with booth level party workers. A road show will be taken out from Durg to Raipur Airport. The road show will be welcomed by the party workers at various places, Thakur said.


State Congress In-charge P L Punia, State Congress President Bhupesh Baghel, CPCC Working President Dr Shiv Kumar Dahariya, former CLP leader Ravindra Choubey, Amitesh Shukla and Rudra Guru visited the Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium and reviewed the preparations of the programme. The party workers have installed the banners and posters of Rahul Gandhi in Raipur city, Bilaspur city, Durg city and Surguja district to give a grand welcome to their leader on his first visit to the State after assuming the charge of AICC President.
