It may be recalled that MP Rakesh Singh had discussed the issue with Union Aviation Minister, Jayant Sinha. On this Union Minister, Sinha informed him to send a proposal after clearning from Vidhan Sabha of Madhya Pradesh to the Ministry then the name of Airport could be changed. Hence BJP State President, MP, Rakesh Singh met Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan and demanded to bring the proposal in coming session of Vidhan Sabha. ON appeal of MP Rakesh Singh, Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan has assured that the proposal would be kept in Vidhan Sabha in coming session so that the name of Airport could be named after the Veerangana Rani Durgawati and after clearing the proposal it would sent to the Union Government for further approval.
