‘Develop interpersonal skills to excel in profession’

NAGPUR Branch of WIRC of ICAI recently launched a unique skill development programme ‘Super CA’ for honing the skills of chartered accountants (CAs) with respect to various inter-personal skills of the members. The unique programme will run for nine months wherein the members would be guided on various practice development skills by Sanjay Singh, renowned IIM Kolkata faculty. Atul Pandey, President of Vidarbha Industries Association, was the chief guest in inaugural programme of the ‘Super CA’ programme. Pande said, “Professionals need to develop interpersonal skills to excel in profession. Practical exposure to the professionals is very much required. In a fast moving economy like India, updating knowledge is the need of the hour. One has to continuously update himself on various fronts like communication and presentations.”

He said that one has to strive for perfection and keep doing efforts for achieving it. He explained about the principles to be followed for success in life and shared his life experiences with the participants. “Industry expects a lot from chartered accountants and the professionals should guide their clients in best possible manner. The members should develop special skill sets to understand the needs and expectations of the clients and should check loopholes in the clients business for positive results”, he said. He appreciated Nagpur ICAI for conducting such a good course and complimented the participants for joining at the appropriate time.

Chairman of Nagpur Branch CA Umang Agrawal, said that it was the first time that Nagpur Branch of WIRC of ICAI has designed the novel concept of ‘Super CA’. “It is most versatile profession that gives all round capabilities to the person. Now-a-day’s CAs are considered as the complete business solution provider,” he pointed out. He thanked the pilot faculty of the course Sanjay Singh who has designed the course looking into the specific requirements of CAs. He assured the participants that they will have an enriching time while attending the course.

He also assured all possible help from Nagpur Branch of ICAI for the increasing efficiency of CA members.CA Swapnil Ghate, Past Chairman co-ordinated the inaugural session. Prominently present on the occasion were, CA Suren Duragkar, Vice Chairman of Nagpur Branch and 50 participants of the course.
