Petrol at Rs 86.41 per litre mark, diesel touches level of Rs 74.05 per litre

Rising prices of fuel are making record every passing day. Continuing the inflationary trend prevailing for the last 13 days, petrol and diesel saw new high of Rs 86.41 per litre and Rs 74.05 per litre respectively on Saturday night. Petrol gained 14 paise while diesel saw hike of 17 paise.


Earlier in the day, petrol was available at a price of Rs 86.27 per litre and diesel saw sold at a price of Rs 73.88 per litre.
Interestingly, the hike came in the wake of marginal drop in price of crude oil in the international market.

As the consumers have been shelling out extra bucks for fuel, there are wide spread concerns over it. On Saturday, many consumers were seen demanding the policy makers to intervene and control the prices. Nagpur is one of the few cities in the country where the petrol and diesel prices are so high.


Market observers told The Hitavada that increased fuel price have started showing impact on many commodities. Transporters are also passing on their burden to their clients and collecting additional money.
