The proposed day-long visit of BJP National President Amit Shah on May 4, has been cut short to only two hours. BJP said that Amit Shah visit has been cut short in the wake of his busy schedule of Karnataka where campaigning of Assembly elections is at its peak. After remaining in Bhopal for two hours, Amit Shah will leave for Bengaluru. The change in Amit Shah’s programme has come as a partial relief to many BJP leaders and ministers.

The reason is this that during his last visit to Bhopal, Amit Shah had given targets to every minister and leader but many of them have not taken the targets seriously. It is reportedly learnt that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan while presiding over the meeting of ministers on Tuesday had told that many Cabinet colleagues have failed to complete the tasks given by National President during his last visit and latter is angry in this regard. Hence, now ministers themselves should prepare to face the questions of national president.Seeing the short visit of Amit Shah, BJP has also changed its preparations. Earlier, it was being told that a massive rally of Amit Shah would be taken out from airport till party headquarters which would be a befitting reply to the rally of newly appointed Madhya Pradesh Congress President Kamal Nath.

But as Amit Shah is coming to Bhopal only for two hours, hence, BJP has planned to give grand welcome to Amit Shah at the airport itself. BJP said that after arrival, Amit Shah will reach BHEL Dushaira ground and will address the three-tier expansion meeting. BJP said that party workers are excited regarding the proposed visit of Amit Shah. A large number of BJP workers will reach at airport to accord warm welcome to Amit Shah. BJP State President Rakesh Singh is regularly monitoring the preparations being done for the visit.
