Staff Reporter,

Governor of Madhya Pradesh Anandiben Patel arrived at Dada Veerendrapuri Netra Sansthan (Devji Netralaya) Tilwara bridge and dedicated the India’s first advanced retina treatment ‘VITESSE, Hypersonic Vitrectomy’ Unit to public.

She also inspected the free services being rendered for eye treatment in the centre. She appreciated yomen service being rendered by Director of Hospital, Dr Pavan Sthapak and inspired to continue to render free eye check-up service in future.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Pavan Sthapak said that this latest technology enables running of a hypersonic vitrectomy system simply for treatment of vitro retinal problems like damaged caused to eyes due to blowing of fire crackers, damaged retina, damaged blood capillaries etc.

This technology allows maximum control over the surgical procedure. The hypersonic vitrectomy is unique latest system of removing the blood from eyes by using the ultrasound instead of other machines using hypersonic vitrectomy cutter due to which the results of treatment of vetro retina patients are improved. The food and medicine administration (FDA) has permitted the hypersonic vitrectomy system.

The director Dada Veerendra Puri Netra Sansthan, Dr Pavan Sthapak said that, ‘hypersonic vitrectomy system’ allows us to display various vitrectomy removal surgery within maximum half hours period.

The surgeon had to continue victor retinal surgery for hours in 40-years-old virectomy technology using the pneumatic cutter. Now, the minute 1.7 million cut rate would be available within very short period for surgery in Devji Netralaya. This technology is FDA approved and treatment of all the age group diabetic and blood pressure patients would be possible. This Vitesse technology is BAISCH and LOMB’s patient technology. This technology is also the FDA approved which would enable the treatment of diabetic and blood pressure patients possible. The capacity of machine is 1.7 million cut per minute. Whereas, other machines work on 5,000-7,000 cut.

This new ultra sound machine liquefies the vitreous and removes it. The 1.5 million cut rate also reduces the traction and surgery become safer. It also saves the tissues of the eye. It is the first machine of India.
