Staff Reporter,

Asserting that the ‘Vikas Yatra’ is being taken out with the sole objective of showcasing development in Chhattisgarh, Bharatiya Janata Party State President Dharamlal Kaushik said under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh inclusive development has taken place in the state.

However the date of commencement of ‘Vikas Yatra’ has been deferred by a day. Earlier it was scheduled to commence from May 11 but now it will commence from May 12. PWD Minister Rajesh Munat, who is also the in-charge for ‘Vikas Yatra’, said that Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will be Chief Guest on the occasion while Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh will preside over the function. The statewide Vikas Yatra will be launched after restive Dantewada district after paying obeisance to Maa Danteshwari.

In order to review the preparations of the statewide Vikas Yatra, a significant meeting was called by Bharatiya Janata Party at Kushabhau Thakre Parisar, which was attended by state office-bearers and office-bearers from various cells and morcha. During the meeting directives and guidelines were issued to office-bearers starting from state-level to booth-level for making the Vikas Yatra a grand success. Present in the meeting were State President Dharamlal Kaushik, Vikas Yatra In charge Rajesh Munat, joint in charge Subhash Rao, State General Secretary (Organisation) Pawan Sai, Morcha In charge Rampratap
Singh, State General Secretary Santosh Pandey, Girdhar Gupta, Subhau Ram Kashyap, Shivratan Sharma, Bhupendra Savanni, Naveen Markande, Dr Krishnamurty Bandhi, Chaggan Mundra, Yatra Media In charge Nalinesh Thokne and other senior party office-bearers.

Earlier, presiding over the review meeting of BJP state office-bearers, State President Kaushik said the party is getting mandate from the people as all development schemes are reaching to the last line of the society and the last person of the society is getting benefited. He said every party worker has a significant role to play during the
Vikas Yatra.

Kaushik called upon the party workers and office-bearers to commit themselves to ensure that the Vikas Yatra is a grand success while keeping in mind the target of Mission 65 during the forthcoming Assembly elections. He asked the party workers to commit themselves so much so that this Vikas Yatra is converted into Vijay Yatra. He said the BJP has always been committed towards taking the benefit of development to the last person of the society. Through this Vikas Yatra, the party and its government presents itself before the people every five year for social audit of their performances. He said since the party led government has carried out inclusive development for the state it is confident it will get the blessings of people.

Kaushik while coming down heavily on Congress said the
Congress changes its slogans during every election. It had given the slogan ‘Garibi Hatao’ but no work was done for the upliftment of poor and they became more poorer, while pro Congress people became richer. On the contrary, the BJP has only one slogan “Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas” and today we have guts to go before the people as we have worked to the expectations of people. The Congress which has done nothing for the people since last 50 years, now question the BJP government about development. He also remarked satirically that every leader in state Congress wants to become Chief Minister.

PWD Minister Rajesh Munat while giving detailed information about the lay out of the yatra issued necessary guidelines for ensuring grand success of the Vikas Yatra. Accordingly responsibilities were given to office-bearers at different levels to decipher the guidelines among the party workers so that the success of Vikas Yatra can be ensured. He asked to complete all such meeting latest by May 15.

BJP State Spokesperson Shivratan Sharma while commenting on the statement given by AICC Chhattisgarh In charge P L Punia in Balod, said the false propaganda being spread by Congress will not affect the winning mode of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Alleging that the Congress has not been able to prove a single allegations level by it in these 15 years and now the people have even stopped taking seriously such propaganda spread by Congress. He said the Congress with the help of false propaganda and character assassination wants to come in power, which is ridiculous. He said the Congress is searching for development and at the same time its leaders are traveling to different parts of Chhattisgarh on the roads laid by the incumbent BJP government.
