Ganj Police arrest ten youths including 3 minors on charges of manhandling

RAIPUR

Raipur Police on Friday caught ten youths including three minors on the charges of manhandling four engineering students near Raipur Railway Station on May 2, 2018. These ten youths had thrashed Awanish Tandon and his friends while they were entering the Station premises. Awanish, who was driving the car, had come to drop his friends at Railway Station when he was attacked by auto rickshaw (CG/04-L4456) driver Wasim Khan and his friends Shehzad alias Chingari, Mohammad Naseebuddin.


The goons attacked the victim after he drove across Wasim’s auto-rickshaw at Gate no-2. While all this was going on, few other auto drivers named Raghvendra Dwivedi, Subhash Nishad, Aman Singh and few others also jumped in the assault. After thrashing the youths, they fled on auto rickshaws (CG/04-4456) and (CG/04-TA/1744). Ganj Police, however, registered a FIR under Section 294, 323, 506 and 34 of Indian Penal Code on the complaint of victim Awanish Tandon and his friends Sameer and Prashant Yadav. Two more sections 327 and 147 were later added in the case.
These brawlers finally landed in police custody on Friday. They were paraded through
the road.
