Students visit heritage sites

With the motive to spread awareness regarding importance of heritage sites, a programme of ‘Awareness and Visit’ was organised, under the aegis of District Tourism Development Committee, on Sunday at places in district. About 150 students of Udaan Coaching visited Chaigan Fort, constructed by King Sangram Singh, in 1543th century. Chief Executive Officer of district Panchayat, RP Ahirwar presided over the programme. During the visit students have raised queries and were answered by the Jila Panchayat CEO, Ahirwar. In this tour, strength of girls was more than the boys.


The tour team has also prepared a notes on the historical importance and facts related to the fort. Students including Anushree Nema, Swati Soni, Akash Chaudhary, Pooja Namdev and Neeraj Nema collectively informed that they are happy to get known with this such heritage places in reality, which they either study or watch in books, due to the unique initiation taken by the administration. Besides this various events like awareness rally, painting competition on water conservation, half marathon and cleanliness was organised. Minister of State for Public Health Engineering, Jalam Singh Patel was chief guest. On this occasion cleaning drive on the banks of river Narmada was organised.


Jila Panchayat CEO informed that this campaign has been planned to promote tourism. And to keep the banks of river Narmada clean. He also promised the students of awarding prizes to persons who put a photograph of tour places of district. Thereafter, concluding the programme certificates were distributed to the students.
