One of two accused in police net in property dealer shootout case

POLICE have succeeded in apprehending one of the two accused in shootout case of a property dealer in Rajul Township under Gora Bazar police station. Pawan Dubey, son of Chhotu Dubey, a resident of Rausara village, was shot dead under a conspiracy by his tenant over a dispute on illicit relations with a woman. The Superintendent of Police had declared cash reward of Rs 10,000 on arresting or giving information about the accused.


The arrested has been identified as Akash Singh Rajput (21), a resident of Murar in Gwalior, while main accused named Sanjay Mishra, a resident of Gwalior, is still at large.
Police has already arrested an accused named Kamal alias Kalyan Singh (30), a native of Gwalior.


Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Deepak Kumar Shukla disclosed this while addressing a press conference on Saturday. On March 19, 3 unidentified men opened fire at Pawan and managed to escape from the spot. The incident took place when Pawan reached Rajul Township for unloading building construction material at Chaggar Farm House. Investigating the case, a combined team of Crime Branch and Gora Bazar police learnt that Sanjay Mishra and Kamal alias Kalyan Singh were living as tenants at residence of Pawan Dubey who also worked as contractors. A few days before the shootout, Sanjay Mishra held an argument with Pawan Dubey over illicit relations and Pawan started insisting him to leave the house. Sanjay Mishra and Kalyan Singh made a conspiracy of killing Pawan Dubey and called their friend named Akash Singh from Gwalior for materialising their plan. The accused was arrested under direction of Superintendent of Police Kumar Saurabh under supervision of Additional SP Deepak Mishra, Additional SP (Crime), Sandeep Mishra with active efforts of police team comprising SHO, Gora Bazar, Anil Gupta, ASI, B P Singh and Crime Branch’s SI, Ramveer Singh, constables Suresh, Mahendra, Jayendra and Rahul.
