RMC’s Zone-1 office transformed into Hospital

Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) has transformed its old Zone-1 office into 30-bed capacity medical facility near Macchitalab at Gudhiyari.
RMC pooled Rs 48 lakh under the Chief Minister Hospital Renovation Fund, Rs 10 lakhs under the District Mineral Trust Fund to turn the old Zone-1 Commissionaire office into a new hospital. Family Welfare and Health Minister Ajay Chandrakar dedicated the hospital to people in the presence of PWD Minister Rajesh Munat and Mayor Pramod Dubey along with entire roster of Corporators.


At the inauguration ceremony, Mayor Dubey told the people that the new hospital will operated by Public Health and Family Welfare Department of Chhattisgarh Government under the National Urban Health Mission through District Health and Medical Officer.


The Hospital has been built over 6500 square feet area with 2 halls on ground floor, 10 rooms, 1 operation theatre, 3 halls and 4 rooms on the first floor.
The building has ramp for convenience of the people with special needs.


Hospital is also equipped with medical facilities like ECG,
maternity check-up and labour room, vaccinations, blood
pressure and hypertension check-up facilities. Some other amenities like X-ray and Sonography are also coming soon.
RMC Speaker Prafull Vishwakarma showered praise on Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh for the hospital and also expressed thankfulness to the Ministers Ajay Chandrakar and Rajesh Munat.
