VTA welcomes NMC chief Virendra Singh

While welcoming the Commissioner of Nagpur Municipal Corporation Virendra Singh, the city based Vidarbha Taxpayers Association (VTA) recently expressed faith in the new civic body chief and said that the local municipal body will achieve new highs under his supervision. A delegation of the association led by its President J P Sharma met the commissioner and welcomed him by presenting a floral bouquet.


On the occasion, Sharma said that VTA is formed with a strong belief that all the citizens of the country are its true owners by virtue of being taxpayers and it is also undeniable that every individual is a taxpayer, paying either in the form of direct or indirect taxes and it is to protect and safeguard the common man’s right as a taxpayer.


Tejinder Singh Renu, Secretary of VTA, said that Nagpur is fortunate to have a commissioner who was a fighter pilot earlier, thereby a combination of discipline of armed forces and IAS administration will surely give an edge to the responsible position of Municipal Commissioner. “We are sure that under Virendra Singh’s able guidance, NMC will see lot of development in a time bound manner,” he said. Virendra Singh said his focus will be on fast disposal of files and will surely like to resolve issues causing problems to the citizens and taxpayers. VTA’s joint secretaries Hemant Trivedi and Amarjeet Singh Chawla, members Rajesh Kanoongo and Munish Malewar were present.
