‘Dhwaja Stambham Mahotsavam’ concludes

The five days long ‘Dhwaja Stambham Punahpratistaphana Mahotsavam’ concluded in a grand manner here at Balaji Temple, Sector-5, Bhilai on Sunday.

The sacred function concluded with installation of newly erected Dhwajastambham with all the religious rituals. The installation of Dhwaja Stambham commenced on morning at exactly two minutes past seven and all the rituals were performed by Dean of Ved Granthalaya University, Tirupati, Agnihotrum Shriniwasan Achari Garu along with his disciples.

It may be recalled that after 45 years, the “Dhwaja Stambham Punahpratistaphana Mahotsavam” of Balaji Temple, Sector-5, Bhilai was organised by Andhra Sahitya Samiti from May 2 to May 6. A large number of devotees thronged to the temple from the morning hours to seek blessing of ‘Lord Venkateshwara on this auspicious occasion.

Secretary of Andhra Sahitya Samiti, PS Rao informed that the Dhwaja Stambham referred as the flag-mast of the deity of the temple and also a medium for the heavens to be connected to Earth. He added that the sacred function of Dhwaja Stambham Punahpratistaphana concluded with all the religious rituals and from May 7 to June 17 on every morning the ‘Mandala Pooja” will be conducted.
