Beneficiaries share experiences in Livelihood Fair

beneficiaries shared their experiences in Livelihood Fair organised under Bureau Outreach Communication by Field Out Reach Bureau (FORB), Information and Broadcasting Ministry recently.

Girls from small village of prosperous Patan tehsil tried to make progress with higher ambitions and Government extended every possible support to them. Daughter of late Pramod and Prarthana Rajput, Bhavna who remained unemployed for 2 years after passing class XII.

However, she was selected under Pundit Deendayal Skill Development Scheme for 3 months computer training for IKYA Training Centre, Sagar. Besides availing free boarding and lodging facility she also completed diploma course with 40 other girls. Presently, she is working as a computer operator in YZAKY India Private Limited Ahmedabad with Rs 10,000 per month salary. She is availing almost free boarding and lodging facility. She also shared her experience in Livelihood Fair under Gram Swarajya Campaign, organised by Janpad Panchayat Patan so that girls like her from economically backward class get respectable jobs.

Women from block-level self-help groups shared their experiences of making sanitary napkins, soap making and other manufacturing activity. Under Gram Swarajya campaign, such programmes are organised at block-level.
Besides, field outreach bureau Jabalpur, ITI District Trade and Industries Centre Cattle Rearing Department, Agriculture Department and other department officers participated in the programme and gave information about employment related schemes.

Varsha Shukla Pathak said that under Gram Swarajya campaign conducted from April 18 to May 5, 2018, FORB conducted Clean India festival, Ujjwala Panchayat, Livelihood Fair at village Mahgaon, Gadarkheda, Nagna, Khairi, Padariya, Kundum and Patan under which workshop, symposium, photo exhibition and seminars were also conducted.
