Forest staffers start indefinite strike in Anuppur

Around 200 Forest Department employees, including range officer, range assistant, forest guard and employees serving under Anuppur division, have proceeded on indefinite strike from May 5

In view of call given by Madhya Pradesh Van Karmachari Sangh Bhopal, around 200 forest department employees, including range officer, range assistant, forest guard and employees serving under Anuppur division, have proceeded on indefinite strike from May 5 in support of their pending demands made before the government.


According to information obtained from President of association, Suresh Bahadur Singh and Vice President Madhya Pradesh Van Karmachari Sangh Anuppur district, A K Nigam , there has been resentment among Forest employees on the indifference of the State Government to consider their pending demands over the years. “We have raised 19 issues under pending demands put before the government. Despite repeated requestes through submission of memorandum of demand has proved ineffectual to arrive to any logical conclusion.”


In all previous occasion the Madhya Pradesh Van Karmachari Sangh delegation was assured to early attention to the issues raised in the memorandum of demand. Unfortunately sufficient time has passed over the year but no heed has been given to our demand. The inattentive stance of the state government has caused large scale resentment among forest employees, left with no option we have proceeded on indefinite strike. The call for indefinite strike has been given by Madhya Pradesh Van Karmachari Sangh Bhopal.


The two office bearers of Madhya Pradesh Van Karmachari Sangh Annuppur district stated that since no heed has been given to our pending demand we have unanimously decided to proceed on indefinite strike. In period of strike any breach of security to wild life and any loss to forest the responsibility would be wholly with the state government. Earlier in view of instructions issued by district zonal president of Madhya Pradesh Van Karmachari Sangh all employees serving under Madhya Pradesh Van Karmachari Sangh Anuppur district have handed over the intimation letter to Forest Department administration and police.
