Doctor duped of Rs 2.71 crore in mining deal

Kolar police have booked fourteen persons on Monday for duping a city doctor to the tune of Rs 2.71 crore in the name of making director in a mining firm and later providing property at Bawadia Kalan.

The victim Dr Sabyasachi Gupta, 45, son of Rajeshwar, a resident of Govindpura who owns a hospital in MP Nagar area was duped by Krishnapal and thirteen others initially in the name of making him partner and director in a mining firm and after failing to make him partner providing him land using forged documents. Police said that in his complaint Dr Gupta stated that the main accused Krishanpal used to visit his hospital regularly and offered him to become director in firm and partner in a mine which the victim accepted and provided Rs 2.71 crore to the accused.

Later, victim asked for refund of money as he had provided excess amount but the accused offered him land at Bawadia Kalan and complete the documentation through a woman, who was later found to be fake as the plot was found to be in the name of some other person.
The accused told the victim that he owns Shri Sai Corporation India Private Limited and offered to become director in his firm and assured to make him partner in work of mining in a mine.

The victim failed to get the money refund and land after which he lodged a complaint with the Kolar police. The police have registered a case under sections 420,467,468, 120B and 34 of the IPC. There are fourteen accused including Krishnapal, Phool Miya, Javed, Vishwanath Sahu, Harshad, Suneeta, Shivani Singh, Shivam, Akhtar Khan, Rinku Yadav, Shailesh Gupta, Arvind, Savitri Singh and Gajendra Agrawal.
