Meet held to chalk out strategy for mega job fair to be held on May 24

A divisional-level mega job fair would be organised on May 24. Targeting placement of skilled youths in Tourism and Hospitality Sector. In this job fair youths from all districts of Jabalpur division would participate.

The camp would be organised under the joint auspices of Tourism Board, Bhopal, Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council, New Delhi and local administration. An important meeting of related officials in this regard was taken by Principal Secretary, Tourism, Hariranjan Rao at Commissioner Office, Jabalpur to review preliminary preparations at Divisional Commissioner Office conference hall.

Collector Chhavi Bharadawaj was especially present in the meeting. Rao addressing the programme said serious and collective efforts are needed to be made by all concerned departments. Then the coming job fair could be a success. He emphasized to ensure proper communication with the skilled youths in related fields regarding Job Fair so that they could avail the opportunity. In the Mega Job Fair, Tourism and Hospital related jobs including Cook, Hospitality Manager, Front Office Assistant, Accounts and Human Resources, Supervisor and Engineer, etc., jobs would be offered by companies by various national and international repute organisations.

He also discussed about job profile, salary packages and other perks to be offered by companies to aspirants. He added that information pertaining to Mega Job Fair should be provided to rural youths properly. He also directed to make proper transportation arrangements for youths from different districts.

Principal Secretary, Rao emphasised on development of action plan to make the job fair a success. In this transportation, communication, publicity and strategy related to venue management. He ordered to ensure proper arrangement of registration and interview of aspirants with companies at the venue.

Collector, Chhavi Bharadwaj added that through Mega Job Fair efforts should be made to place rural and urban skilled youths in Jobs. She said it is expected from related officials of Tourism and Hospitality Sector to
provide available information in database. She also directed to prepare a perfect transportation plan. PS Tourism, Rao also discussed strategy in detail to make the event a success. He also shared his experience related to Mega Job Fair in Bhopal.

Eminent officials who attended discussion includes Municipal Commissioner, Vedprakash, Joint Director Women and Child Welfare, Seema Sharma, Joint Director Employment, M S Markam, General Manager, Industry Centre, Devrath Mishra, Program Officer, Women and Child Development, Manish Sharma, District Education Officer, NK Choksey, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Uddey, Incharge Joint director School Education, Assistant Commissioner Tribal Welfare, P K Singh, CEO JTPC, Hemant Singh and representatives related to the Career Counselling attended the meeting. MP Tourism Board’s Planning, Skill and Training Director, Manoj Kumar Singh was especially present.
