Mumbai attack survivor Devika Rotwan honoured at Muktakashi Manch

The 26/11 Mumbai attack survivor and a key witness Devika Rotawan was felicitated for her courage at ‘Meri Shaan Tiranga Hai’ programme at Muktakashi Manch on Tuesday.
The event saw presence of Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL) Chairman and Flag Foundation of India Founder Naveen Jindal marking his presence as the chief guest. Notably, Devika was the key witness in Mumbai attack case and her statement proved instrumental in getting lone surviving terrorist Ajmal Kasab to gallows.The ex-servicemen and people wearing the tricolour on their clothes every day were also honoured.


The programme was drenched with sentiments of patriotism, where ex-servicemen as Chhotelal Thakur, Ramswarup Sen, L Prasad Rao, Amitabh Mitra, B Ramakrishna along with serving Army Captain Vivekananda Shukla, who is posted in Jammu & Kashmir, were feted.Mayor Pramod Dubey presided over the function, which also witnessed attendance of MLA Satyanarayan Sharma, Shri Chand Sundarani, Raipur Development Authority Chairman Sanjay Shrivastava, Senior Congress Leader Paras Chopra, former DIG Rajeev Shrivastava and Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries President Jitendra Barlota. Programme had dance, songs and poetry on the theme of patriotism. Shishir Jain anchored the programme whereas Vijay Bhattacharya proposed of vote of thanks.
