Asha, Usha, Sahyogini workers demonstrate for long-standing demands

Asha, Usha and Sahyogini workers union demonstrated in support of their demands in State capital on Thursday. Demonstrating workers demanded solution to their long standing demands. The demonstrating Asha, Usha, Sahyogini demanded government employees status to them. Along with this, they demanded that their salary should be fixed to Rs 18,000 per month, cover of security pension, gratuity and maternal benefits.


They said that often they are asked to do different kind of surveys hence now they want appropriate honorarium in this regard.Demonstrating Asha and Usha workers said that, their strength in State is 85,000 and they render their services in 18 types of mother child security schemes and other schemes. Whether, it is distribution of medicines at door step of houses or survey of dengue and malnutrition or sending pregnant women to hospitals, they always remain on toes. But government is not giving attention on their plight.
