CM announces tehsil status for three sub-tehsils

Under the ongoing statewide Vikas Yatra, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh has announced tehsil status for three sub-tehsils including Lawan, Gandai and Rengakhar. On the occasion the Chief Minister also dedicated and laid foundation stones for 343 development works worth Rs 745 crore in these three places. Addressing the mammoth gathering the Chief Minister termed the development carried out by his government in last 14 years as just a trailer and the whole picture is yet to come. In next five years the whole picture will come to fore and Chhattisgarh will emerge as a strong a developed state.


Announcing the upgradation of sub-tehsils of Lawan (Balaoda Bazaar-Bhatapara), Gandai (Rajnandgaon) and Rengakhar (Kawardha) to Tehsils, the Chief Minister said now these areas will develop more rapidly. He said the works undertaken by his government in last 14 years in the socio-economic development sector, has brought immense change in the livelihood of common people. He said the development works undertaken till date had strengthened the infrastructure and in next five years the development will gather speed and Chhattisgarh will emerge as a strong state in the world map and will become one of the most developed state in the country. The Chief Minister said collectively with the cooperation from the common people the state is gradually progressing ahead. On the occasion the Chief Minister dedicated and laid foundation stones for 343 development works worth Rs 745 crore, which included dedication of 127 works worth Rs 287.39 crore and laying of foundation stones for 216 new development works worth Rs Rs 457.6 crore. On the occasion the Chief Minister distributed ‘abbadi patta’ to 29,478 villagers in Lawan and Chuikhadan. The Chief Minister also distributed paddy bonus worth Rs 59 crore to 46,152 farmers in both these places apart from
distributing paddy bonus worth Rs 62.7 crore to thousands of farmers in Sahaspur Lohara. The bonus amounts were
transferred online into the bank accounts of farmers.


Present during the function were Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Gaurishankar Agrawal, Food Minister Punnulal Mohle, PWD Minister Rajesh Munat, MP Kamladevi Patle and Abhishek Singh, MLAs Sanam Jangde, Shivratan Sharma, Motiram Chandrawanshi, Ashok Sahu and large number of party workers and office-bearers.
