Cong workers stage dharna against water crisis at JMC Division office

Congress workers demanded to fill the Gulaua water tank from Lalpur plant till the supply from Ramnagar plant is not restored to normalcy and supply should be maintained properly

Protesting against interruption of water supply of Ramnagra water since last seven days and careless working of the administrative officials of Jabalpur Municipal Corporation, Congress workers staged dharna, demonstration and ghearao of JMC Division Office, Garha and Kachpura at 11 am. During the protest, Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Ayachi of JMC along with official attended the protesting Congress workers. The Congress workers demanded to fill the Gulaua water tank from Lalpur plant till the supply from Ramnagar plant is not restored to normalcy and supply should be maintained properly. So that people of sub-urban area Garha and Kachpura could be saved from ongoing water crises.


Deputy Commissioner, Rakesh Ayachi immediately instructed the officers of Water Department, JMC which is already connected to the Garha Tank should be started and till the main raising line of Ramnagra plant is not rectified properly the Garha Gulaua overhead tank should be filled from Lalpur plant.


On assurance the Congress workers have opened the lock of Divisional Office JMC of Garha and call off the demonstration.
Corporator, Sanjay Rathore addressing the protest said to ensure proper water supply from Lalpur plant for Garha tank he would personally look into the things and provide water to the residents. Manoj Patkar appealed the officials to ensure inspection of all the water tanks in the city on regular basis so that such water crises may not take place. Those who led the protest includes Sanjay Rathore, Manoj Patkar, Shailendra Dubey, Akhil Sharma, Gansh Chouksey, Amrish Mishra, Dabbu Thakur, Saleel Chouksey, Satyendra Pachori and others.
