Four men, including two minors, planning to rob ATM arrested

NISHATPURA police have nabbed four miscreants, including two minors, while planning to rob an ATM machine of State Bank of India (SBI) at Mulla Colony late on Wednesday night.
SHO of Nishatpura Chain Singh Raghuvanshi said that a police team patrolling in the area rushed to Safia ground boundary after receiving information about miscreants planning to rob an ATM kiosk and nabbed four accused, including two minors, and when they were searched police recovered a gas cutter, one sharp-edged weapon, match box, one LED emergency light and when they were interrogated they confessed they were targeting to break ATM machine at SBI at Mulla Colony.


The accused have been identified as Taufiq alias Chandu (22), son of Ramzani, a resident of Nishatpura and Ankit Silarkar (19), son of Ashok, a resident of Karond, while two accused were found to be minor. Taufiq has past criminal record and has been booked for four crimes in the past. He was booked for theft, assault and illegal possession of arms. The crime record of other accused will be investigated in further investigation. Police have registered a case under Section 401 of the IPC and Section 25 of the Arms Act and have started further investigation. Police said that crime by the gang using minors as accomplices will be investigated and suspect that the gang might be involved in thefts and burglaries in the area in the past few months. Meanwhile Bairagarh police have nabbed three miscreants and recovered valuables worth Rs 3.7 lakh burgled by them from Old Sewa Sadan road area on May 25. Acting on a tip-off, Sachin was nabbed by Bairagarh police from near Kali temple and when interrogated, he confessed to the crime along with Suraj and Manoj who were nabbed later. Stolen valuables were recovered from their possession.
