JMC holds registration camps for unorganised labourers

To extend benefits of different schemes initiated by Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan for the labourers in unorganised sector like agriculture labour, small and marginal farmers, domestic labour, dairy labour, fisheries labour, brick and stone labour, motor transport, handicraft and handloom labour, dye, swing, agarbatti, leather goods, shoe makers, auto-rickshaw drivers and of different sectors, a special drive for registration was carried out by Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) on May 30 from 7 am to 5 pm. The camp was held in all the division offices and in all 79 wards, the registration camps were organised.


Mayor, Dr Swati Sadanand Godbole added that all the labourers should avail the benefits of the camp and register themselves for the scheme initiated for the unorganised labour. In making the event a success, Municipal Commissioner, Chandramauli Shukla informed that the Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan wished to extend support to unorganised labours facing financial crisis. The State Government is committed for the welfare of these labourers. To avail the benefits of these schemes, the labourers have to support the camp and ensure their registration by visiting the camp.
