37 quintals of sub-standard chana stock seized in surprise raid at KUM

UPROAR was witnessed at Krishi Upaj Mandi (KUM) premises when SDM Rakesh Mohan Tripathi conducted surprise inspection and found procurement of sub-standard quality of chana. He immediately directed the Food Inspector to file FIR against those involved in selling and procuring sub-standard quality of chana stock on Government support price. Learning about surprise inspection of SDM, many businessmen, officers and employees engaged in procurement works managed to escape from Mandi premises.


Taking prompt action, Food Inspector started seizing sub-standard chana stock and informed that sub-standard chana stock of Sanjeev Kumar, son of Anand Kumar Jain of Maharajpur was being weighed. During surprise inspection of SDM Rakesh Mohan Tripathi, Food Inspection seized 37 quintals of chana stock after panchnama.


Similarly, 35 sacks of sub-standard quality of chana of Neetesh Sondhia of Maharajpur was seized and an abandoned tractor trolley (MP-15MM-4288) loaded with 40 quintals sub-standard chana was seized from Mandi premises. SDM Rakesh Mohan Tripathi informed that Food Department will file FIR against Sanjeev Kumar, son of Anand Kumar Jain and other traders. He informed that the farmers who had submitted documents till June 7 were given token on June 8.
