Amit Shah will reach Ambikapur Circuit House at 2.30pm. After brief rest and lunch, the BJP National President will be holding Core Group meeting, wherein the party’s preparations for the forthcoming elections on the backdrop of recent political developments post Karnataka elections will be discussed. Congress has initiated efforts towards striking a pre or post poll alliance with Bahujan Samaj Party. Under such situation, keeping in view the SC population in the state, the BJP will have to do some re-thinking despite the fact the party had faired well during previous elections. The party has already conducted ground level survey, the results of which will come up for discussions during the meeting.

During the meeting discussions on success of ‘Lok Suraaj Abhiyan’, BJP ‘Jan Sampark Abhiyan’ and the ongoing ‘Vikas Yatra’ will also come up for discussions. The party has received excellent response in all these campaigns but these responses will be critically examined by the National President during the Core Group Meeting. It is also being expected that during the meeting, the National President may provide guidelines for selection of probable candidates for Assembly election
