CM meets eminent personalities under Sampark Abhiyan

Under BJP’s flagship ‘Sampark for Samarthan’ (Contact for Support) programme, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh met six eminent personalities from the capital. The prominent personalities who were from the fields like spiritual, journalism, literature and medical fraternities were felicitated by CM presenting them with shawl and shreefal. CM started his Sampark for Samarthan programme by visiting the Vivekanand Ashram where he paid a courtesy call on Swami Swarupanandaji Maharaj, the head of Vivekanand Ashram, Raipur. From here the CM went to meet Lalit Surjan, senior journalist and littérateur, who is also the Chief Editor of Hindi daily Deshbandhu.

The Chief Minister visited the residences of veteran littérateur and poet Vinod Kumar Shukla, veteran doctor and former Professor of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Raipur Dr I M Sethi, former Dean of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Raipur Padmashree Dr A T Dabke, Padmashree Dr Mahadeo Prasad Pandey, freedom fighter and former Principal of Government Ayurvedic College, Raipur. CM was accompanied by former Raipur Mayor and BJP Vice-President Sunil Soni.

During his meeting with Swami Swarupanandaji Maharaj,
Dr Singh sought his blessings and informed him about the achievements of government since last 14 years and presented him booklets on these achievements.

The Swamiji praised CM for his government’s initiative towards the socio-economic development of tribals in far-flung areas like Abujhmad. He extended his support and blessings to the Chief Minister. It is worth mentioning here that the Ramkrishna Mission is also working in the area for the welfare of tribals.

During his meeting with senior journalist Lalit Surjan, the Chief Minister discussed their old acquaintance from Kawardha and Raipur. Similarly during his visit to the residences of other eminent personalities, the Chief Minister felicitated them and sought their blessings and support after informing them about his government’s achievements.
The ‘Sampark for Samarthan’ (Contact for Support) programme has been launched by BJP National President Amit Shah to mark the four years of the NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This is stated to be an exercise which has been initiated keeping the forthcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in mind.

As part of the ‘Sampark for Samarthan’ programme, about 4,000 BJP functionaries, including Chief Ministers, Union Ministers and panchayat members across the country will contact one lakh people who are eminent in their fields.
