Tushar Sabale’s 2nd solo expo in London from 11th

A NAGPURIAN and former student ofVNIT, Tushar Sabale is all set to display his paintings in his second solo exhibition at the Nehru Centre Gallery, the cultural wing of Indian High Commission, London. The exhibition will start from June 11 to June 22. Sabale an Indian artist based inLondonisknownforhispaintings inthemediumof oiloncanvas. The exhibition, titled ‘Chiaroscuro’(Italianforlightand dark) is his new body of work inspired from elements of Classic alart and hedemonstrates a series of paintings based on the theme of light and shadows.

Sabale in this exhibition is presenting a series of Oil portraits and Still Life. In past two years, Sabalehas travelled extensively to Italy and many art galleries in New York and North Carolina to study the works of various artists from the classical period, and has been particularly intrigued by the works of master artists like Caravaggio,Rubens, Raphael and others. Tushar has been commissioned to paint the royal portraits and the portrait of Her Highness Princess Olga Romanoff, that he has been commissioned to paint, will be unveiled at the exhibition.

Two other important portraits that of Lady Colin Campbell, a high profile British author and socialite and another portrait of Selma Day, a businesswomanandeditorofLondon Mayfair Times, will also be unveiled at the show. Tushar Sabale studied art, architecture from VNIT Nagpur andhas a product design, a masters degree from IIT Delhi. At the young age of 12, Tushar won a National award for his paintings in India amongst 1,70,000 students who participated that year and thereafter has won many international awards. His collections form a part of private collectors and corporate galleries. He is one of the few contemporary artists who has painted portraits for the Royals and the honour able members of the society
