Pre-monsoon activities gain momentum in MP

The sky of Madhya Pradesh remained dotted with plumes of black cloud and it has even rained at few places on Sunday. Rains have pounded Raisen, Silwani and some other places during evening hours. Bhopal also saw overcast sky, but it has not rained till evening hours.By seeing the sky replete with black clouds, people are assuming that monsoon season is about to hit the State. As of now, whatever rainfall is happening in State, it is due to pre monsoon activities. Jabalpur recorded rainfall of 1 mm, Rewa 28 mm, Indore 2 mm, Betul 2 mm, etc.


In last twenty-four hours, it had rained in Malajkhand (7 cm), Sheopurkalan and Sagar (5 cm each), Shajapur and Gwalior (4 cm each), Chhindwara (3 cm). Weather Department forecast that rainfall, lightning, gusty winds are likely in Indore, Shahdol, Jabalpur, Bhopal, Hoshangabad divisions and districts including Guna, Agar, Ujjain. As there is cloud cover and sporadic rainfall in State, hence mercury level has fallen in substantial manner everywhere. Maximum temperatures have fallen in significant manner in Hoshangabad, Ujjain and Chambal divisions. Weather conditions are going to remain same for at least two days. Bhopal is likely to witness rainfall and lightning activities. Winds will blow at the speed of 50 km per hour at times.
