One of 5 accused in loot incident nabbed

BELKHERA police have unfolded the blind mystery behind loot and attack incident with two employees of a Microfinance Company and nabbed one of the five accused involved in the incident. The arrested has been identified as Jagdish Lodhi (22), a resident of village Sundaradehi while other accused named Bhagwan Singh Lodhi, Dinesh Lodhi, Ajay alias Ajju Lodhi and Vinod Lodhi, residents of village Sundaradehi are still at large after the incident. Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) R S Narvariya informed this while addressing a press conference, on Monday. It may be mentioned that, on June 1, Gaurishankar Chadhar, Recovery Officer of Fusion Microfinance Company and his assistant Veeru Singh Singaure lodged a complaint at Belkhera police station that they were returning after collecting loan installations of Rs 49,352 from customers in villages Sundaradehi, Belkhedi and Mankedi on a motorcycle.

Gaurishankar was driving the motorcycle and Gaurishankar Chadhar was seated carrying bag of cash on his back. They were passing through village Pipariya and Mala when three unidentified boys riding on a black colour unnumbered motorcycle arrived from backside and opened fire on them and hit on his head with a cane. They fell down on the road when miscreants looted their bag and managed to escape form the spot. Acting on the complaint, Belkhera police had registered a case under Section 394 of the IPC and started a search for the accused. Investigating the case, police team found a villager who is eye witness of the incident and also sustained injury of pallet of bullet fire on his leg. Taking a serious note on the incident, Superintendent of Police, Shashikant Shukla directed the Additional SP (Rural), R S Narvaria and SDOP, Patan Dr Arvind Singh for further investigation into the case and ensuring apprehension of accused.

Compliance with the directions, a police team led by SHO of Belkhera police station, Sub Inspector, Rajendra Prasad Bagri started investigation and received information about a suspected man named Jagdish Lodhi. Receiving the information, police team started a search and detained the suspected man. In the interrogation, the accused broke-out and confessed the loot incident and disclosed the names of his accomplices named Bhagwan Singh Lodhi, Dinesh Lodhi, Ajju Lodhi and Vinod Lodhi. On his identification, police have retrieved the bag and cash of Rs 4,350 from him and started a search for other accused. The accused informed that Ajay and Vinod Lodhi were keeping eye on recovery officers and pursuing them on a motorcycle and Jagdish, Dinesh and Bhagwan Singh conducted the loot. The accused was arrested with active working of police team led by SHO, SI, Rajendra Prasad Bagri comprised of Jitendra Shivhare, Constables, Rajesh Yadav, Jahar Singh, Cyber Cell’s Nitin and Rajesh.
