Monsoon loses steam, to make entry in State after June 20

As pre-monsoon rainfall activities have declined hence mercury level has started to soar. Henceforth, once again, heat has started to trouble people in Madhya Pradesh. On Wednesday, Bhopal registered maximum temperature at 38.8 degrees Celsius, 1 degree above normal. Throughout the day on Wednesday, sky remained clean in Bhopal and heat made people to sweat. People are using fans, coolers and air conditioners to find relief from heat. Otherwise after one or two spells of light showers, people have started to anticipate that monsoon is almost knocking the doors of State.


Weather Department said in its prediction that light showers and lightning activities along with high speed winds are likely in some parts of Balaghat, Mandla, Seoni, Dindori, Anuppur, Shahdol, Betul, Morena and Bhind districts.As per weather department, maximum temperatures will saw marginal rise in State.On Wednesday, Jabalpur recorded maximum temperature at 36.7 degrees Celsius, Gwalior 41.8 degrees Celsius, Sidhi 38.6 degrees Celsius, Sagar 38 degrees Celsius, Damoh 41.6 degrees Celsius, Naugaon 42 degrees Celsius, (Contd on page 2)
