CM lays stone for works worth 200 cr at Khandwa, Burhanpur

CHIEF Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan made an announcement in connection to approval of Khalwa Lift Irrigation Scheme costing Rs 1700 crore during convention of unorganised labourers and tendu leaf collectors at Khedigram of Khandwa district on Friday. He said that this scheme will change the fate of farmers of this area and Khalwa block will be known for advanced farming. Chouhan further informed that Narmada water with help of pipeline will be supplied to agriculture fields of 147 villages through Khalwa Irrigation Scheme. This scheme will facilitate irrigation facility on about 90,000 hectare area. Moreover, Chouhan inaugurated tuar dal distribution scheme for Rs 10 per kg in Sheopur and Khalwa blocks during the convention. He also distributed packets of pulse among beneficiaries of the scheme. Chouhan also dedicated and laid foundation of development and construction works worth Rs 200 crore at Khandwa and Burhanpur districts.


MUKHYA MANTRI JAN-KALYAN (SAMBAL) YOJANA IN BLOCKS ON JUNE 13: CM Chouhan informed in the convention that a special programme will be organised to implement Mukhya Mantri Jan-Kalyan (Sambal) Yojana in all the blocks of the State on June 13. Benefits under various schemes will be distributed among registered beneficiaries from April 1 to May 31 in the programme. Elaborating on the scheme, Chouhan urged the public representatives to attend the programme and cooperate to get maximum eligible beneficiaries avail benefits of the schemes. Moreover, Chouhan distributed registration certificates to labourers of unorganised sector.
Besides presenting bonus, he also presented charan padukas and water bottles to tendu leaf collectors on the occasion. He also distributed benefits of other schemes to eligible beneficiaries of various public welfare schemes. Minister for School Education Kunwar Vijay Shah, Minister for Woman and Child Development Archana Chitnis, Member of Parliament Nandkumar Singh Chouhan, Jyoti Dhurve, Members of Legislative Assembly- Khandwa and Burhanpur, other Public representatives, Prominent Citizens and Villagers in large number were present in the convention.
