NSUI demonstrates against poor law and order

MEMBERS of National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) staged demonstration at Civil Line police station to ensure arrest of accused for attacking student of Mahakaushal College and to maintaining law and order arrangements in the area, on Friday.Agitated students alleged that anti-social elements laced with knives and baseball bats entered the college premises and attacked Students Organisation Secretary, Kartik Namdeo. In the attack, student sustained critical injuries on his thigh, head and hand and was rushed at Government Hospital, where he was given primary treatment and admitted at a private hospital.


NSUI, District Spokesperson, Sachin Rajak informed that following the absence of law and order arrangements, anti-social activities are on rise in college campus. College Administration and Police Department is yet to take stern action against anti-social elements. NSUI members has already handed over memorandum to Principal for checking existence of unwanted elements at college campus but any concrete initiative is yet to be taken on the issue. NSUI State General Secretary, Saurabh Gautam and members have extended demand for ensuring apprehension of accused and warned staging gherao at SP Office on June 4.NSUI’s representatives informed that in order to change the working of college administration, they will stage demonstration at Mahakaushal College on June 2. On the occasion, Saurabh Gautam, Sachin Rajak, Bhanu Yadav, Shashank Gautam, Raj Namdeo, Aryan Soni, Tinku Pal, Saurabh Sahu, Shivam Khare and others were present.
