Students need private coaching for competitive exams: Anita Wankhede

SCHOOLS and colleges have less time to complete the syllabus and cannot prepare the students for competitive exams like NEET, AIIMS, KVPY, said Anita Narendra Wankhede, (Wankhede Madam) Director of the Wankhede Madam’s Academy while talking to The Hitavada in an interview on Tuesday. Wankhede who started her carer as a professor took dive into private coaching in the year 2006. She said, time for one subject in the school is just 45 minutes while that in the private coaching class, the time for one subject given is 1.45 hour. “Even coaching classes do not have holidays like Sunday and other festival days. For good performance in competitive exams, which is on all-India basis, students needs private coaching,” she said. Students should be allowed to write the Board exam through their coaching institutes like Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan. “It will create healthy competition,” Wankhede opined.

Wankhede Madam’s Academy has continued its legacy of excellence in the recently declared results of NEET, AIIMS, KVPY. More then 200 students of Wankhede Madam Academy had secured berth in the Government medical colleges through the NEET 2018. Six students got selected for AIIMS while four students secured good rank in KVPY. “We are the only institute giving more than 200 selections in prestigious medical colleges of the country. Even, the class 12 Board topper from city and Vidarbha, NEET city’s and second Vidarbha topper is from our Academy,” she said. When asked about their legacy of continues excellent performance, Wankhede said, “Our focus is on quality, we teach with full dedication, our selection processes is unique. From the 4,000 applications received every year, we just select only 400 students. All our faculties are having teaching experience of more than 25 years and are with us since beginning of the Academy. All facilities are provided to
the students.”

Wankhede Madam Academy has students from all over Maharashtra and even from Madhya Pradesh too. Its repeaters batch has students from all over the country, she informed. Sharing her success Mantra she said, regular study schedule of 5 hours daily right from class 11, away from mobile and friends, concentration on studies, test series and focus on single institute only.c
