Cabinet Ministers inspect Jayanti Stadium ahead of PM’s visit

District administration is gearing up for the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Bhilai on June 14. The administration in this process has reported to have instructed to cut down more than a dozens of trees at the ground in front of Jayanti Stadium, Civic Center Bhilai where PM, Modi will be addressing a grand public meeting.


Here it may be mentioned that for the first time Modi will be addressing a public meeting in Bhilai. The district administration along with PWD Minister Rajesh Munat and Higher Education Minister, Prem Prakash Pandey on Saturday reviewed the preparations before Jayanti Stadium Bhilai and directed the officials to ensure that the visit goes off without a hitch.


Minister Munat and Pandey directed the officials to ensure that there are no lapses in protocol dealing with Prime Minister’s visit and all preparations must be carried out in this vein. Special attention should be paid to the airport, helipad, road, traffic movement, food, vehicle arrangements and other issues related to the public function.


It is expected that about one lakh people will be assembling for the public meeting of the Prime Minister. As per the primary schedule PM will be staying at Bhilai for three hours where he will be spending more than an hour in Bhilai Steel Plant and around one and half an hour during public meeting. Present during the inspection with the ministers were Durg Collector, Umesh Agrawal, BSP CEO, M Ravi, SP Dr Sanjeev Shukla, Traffic DSP and other administrative officers.
