Clueless Ajni cops release sketch of woman involved in Rs 9 lakh burglary

Investigators are clueless in dacoity that took place at the house of woman doctor residing in Ujwal Nagar

Ajni police have released a sketch of a suspect woman allegedly involved in May 27 theft at the house of a lady doctor in Ujwal society, Narendra Nagar. Investigators believe that the woman along with four others had stolen gold ornaments and cash collectively worth Rs nine lakh from house-cum-hospital.

The theft was meticulously planned and executed in near perfection indicating involvement of a professional gang. As the cops are failed to trace a clue about burglars, the sketch was released expecting human intelligence help to solve the case.

Complainant Dr. Pushpa Niwas Ambore (65) has hospital on ground floor while the family lives on the first floor in Ujwal society. The house has two entrance gates one from back side of the building and another directly connects to her chamber on ground floor on front side.

On Sunday at 12.30 pm afternoon she locked her house and went to Kotwali area to attend a marriage function. She returned around 3.45 pm and found the door was ajar and the locks of almirah broken. She raised an alarm and informed police. Staff of Ajni police station rushed to the spot and registered the case. ‘They smartly planned theft’
A police officer said, the cops are investigating the case without any clue as there was no CCTV camera or security guard in the hospital.

The gang had came to the hospital with proper planning and doing recce of in and out timings of Dr Ambore. When Dr. Ambore left the house on Sunday at 12.30 pm the thieves might have been waiting nearby and moved into the house.

Prior to that a woman member phoned Dr Ambore posing as a patient and asked her when she will return home. As Doctor told her that she would return only after 3 pm, the gang put in place their operation. They entered from half closed door of the house from the chamber of the Doctor. They broken locks of the almirah and walked away with gold ornaments and Rs 1.5 lakh cash from the house.
