Fuel price hike: CPI activists stage protest, burn effigy

Communist Party of India (CPI) activists led by CPI secretary Shailendra Kumar Shaily staging demonstration against petrol and diesel price hike burnt effigy of government policies at Mangalwara Chouraha in old city on Saturday. Transport Hammal Mazdoor Sabha and Hammal Mazdoor Sabha Jumerati-Hanumanganj staging demonstration said that BJP Government in State is responsible for price hike of petrol and diesel. Shailendra Kumar Shaily, Roop Singh Chauhan, Fida Hussain, Munne Khan Yusuf Qureshi, Nawabuddin. Sayed Khan and others shouted anti BJP slogans and criticized its anti-people policies.


Shaily said that public is facing brunt due to the inflation and is in a very critical condition. The hike in the petro price is the result of anti-people economic policies of the government, and the middle class man is bearing the effects of these policies. According to him, the public of other countries is paying lesser price for diesel and petrol than that of India. The reason behind this is the wrong and anti-people policies of BJP government. He said CPI is demanding availability of petrol and diesel in lower price and is proposing that Central Government should control over the oil companies of the country.
